Overpowering the Sun

Having the right light makes all the difference when plans change.

For a recent shoot, the client made a last minute decision to begin the interviews outside. This presented the challenge of diffusing the sun as it rose in the sky, and having enough horsepower in our lights to enable us to control the depth of field. The solution was the powerful ARRI S60 LED SkyPanel, which our cinematographer wisely threw in his truck that morning. The takeaway from this story is to be prepared for anything!
